Muzamil Ibrahim is an Indian Supermodel/Actor, born in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. His name as a model is one of the most celebrated of all times and he is even touted to be one of the best looking men of entire Asian continent. He started his modeling career at an early age of 18 by winning the Gladrags Manhunt
Title, becoming the youngest Title winner thus far. Muzamil gained household recognition when he featured in the hit music video “Pardesia”, followed by two other music videos “Kabhi Aisa Hai”, and “Pyaar sirf tumse”, by singer Lucky Ali. All these music videos were chartbusters and made Muzammil a nationwide teenage heart throb. poll continuously from the year 2005 until now. In the years to follow Muzamil not only scrocthed the ramp for top designers in India but also Internationally in countries like Tokyo, Milan, Germany, Singapore, Malaysia, Shanghai etc. His portfolio boosts of having walked for over 1000 fashion shows for International and National designers, a feat unacheived by any other Indian male model. He made his debut in 2007 with the film Dhokha where he played the lead role of “Zaid Ahmed Khan”. The film was produced by Mahesh Bhatt, and directed by Pooja Bhatt. It won Muzammil much critical acclaim and he was hailed as the discovery of the decade, and a future star by critics and audience alike. “Dhoka” due to its strong issue and penetrating performances was made tax free nationwide in its second week of running . “Dhokha” also got Muzammil nominated in the “Best Debutant” category for all the major awards like Filmfair, IIFA, Stardust etc. Muzammil featured in two other movies after that. “Horn,OK,Please”, a comedy film where he played a double role opposite Nana Partekar, and “Will you marry me”,a romantic comedy released in 2012.
Muzammil has been an achiever from an early age, he won the prestigious Presidents Award,“Jeevan Raksha Padak
” (Bravery National Award for the act of bravery), when he was only 9 years old from The Honorable President of India, Mr.Shankar Dayal Sharma
, for saving the life of his fellow student from drowning . He was also felicitated with a “Jeevan Raksha Padak Miniature Medal
” from the State Government of Jammu and Kashmir for being the first boy in the history of the state to have received such an honor.
He also won “The Godfrey Phillips National Bravery Award
” in 2008 for saving an elderly woman from drowning in the Arabian Sea. On being summoned at first Muzammil refused to be acknowledged for his act stating that it was a very personal matter and that no one does these things with an intention of receiving an award, but was latter convinced by the Godfrey representatives that as a youth icon it would send a message to his young fans across India to take up such selfless initiatives in life ahead when the time calls.
Apart from being a two time National Award winner, Muzamil has also crossed the famous Dal Lake twice (Asias 2nd largest Lake), a nonstop swim of 7Kms approximately in his 8th and 10th standard respectively. A water baby he is also a licensed Deep Sea Diver. Muzammil considers himself a sports freak and has won all the major awards in different sports like Basketball,Cricket, Mountaineering, Boating, Skiing etc while in his schooling days. He is a great fitness enthusiast , and practices mixed martial arts and Parkour regularly.
